Yesterday February 9th, 2021 UAE’s Hope mission to Mars which was launched in July 2020 sent its first signal. This is the first Arab mission to the Mars. It will stay there for one Martian year (687 our years) studying the planet atmosphere. The Saudi Astronaut Prince Sultan Bin Salman Al Saud (member of the Saudi Royal Airforce, and now Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Space Commission at the rank of minister) was the first Arab in Space launched as one of the American Space Shuttle in June 17th, 1985. Many Arabs followed him, but this UAE mission is the first of its kind.
